          Discussion

Minutes were posted for all to read.

Amy has created a rubric that ranks the applicants; OLC Tribal first, other tribes, then non-native, as per department policy.

Student Services passed a student conduct policy. Instructional is working on the revised syllabus template.

  1. No updates

  1. Please review: We will be working on our SEP (Systematic Evaluation of Program) in May.

Mandatory orientation is scheduled for Aug 19.

We will follow the agenda

set by administration

Amy related there is a WEF form to complete.

Amy wants to know if we need more ATI orientation. We weight ATI 10% per ATI recommendations but that is always open for discussion.

On assessment days Amy wants to address these issues including Lakota perspective and ways to infuse more into courses. In addition, we need to describe how we are using   technology in the syllabi and course outline.

We will all get together to organize the lab. We will also talk about the pocket nurse order for supplies.

We will attend the mandatory training.

SDSU will be coming to visit with students about upward mobility April 30.

SDSU informs us that there is a curriculum for Jackrabbits Nurse Camp for middle schoolers and we might consider having one of these in the future.

A contract has been created for students to use the dorm for study after hours; so far there have been no takers.

Student issues discussed. Tutoring and success labs are being offered for students who are failing.  Attendance issues are a problem for some students. Early alerts have been issued.

          Action

Faculty will set aside dates.

Be here ready to work May 14-15

We will meet with Amy to review and sign forms.

We will add ATI
into our orientation day if we can get it up and going by then.

We will address these issues in our last meeting.

We will set the date to organize the lab for Wednesday May 13
