SEMAA Certification

Instructor Certification

Staff will be observed by a Master SEMAA Instructor (3 times) covering the following areas:

  1. PLANNING
  2. TEACHING STRATEGIES
  3. ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
  4. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
  5. PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
  6. COMMUNICATION

In order to achieve the title and recognition of a SEMAA Instructor, that individual must receive an overall average of 87% or better to be qualified. At some point and time, college credit may be available and some additional requirements may be added accordingly.

STAR LAB CERTIFICATION

Individuals must come in to work with our AEL Coordinator to gain this certification. (1/2 day) Upon completion of this training, said individual will be able to check out the Star Lab at his/her discretion and in accordance with availability.

ROBOTICS CERTIFICATION

Individuals must have at a minimum, a half day training which may be completed in an in-class model and demonstration with students. Upon completion and recommendation of the trainer, individuals will then be able to check out the robotics kits at his/her discretion and in accordance with availability.
